Even the Transmigrated Outcast Esper Bites Back chapter 18

Opening his senses slightly, he felt a faint presence inside.

“I’m coming in….”

He carefully opened the door and entered the room.

Perhaps they had finished the background check in that short time, as Shim Yeonwoo’s name, age, and blood type were written at the head of the bed.

He also confirmed the ‘G’ written right next to the name. It stood for Guide.

Since they couldn’t change the clothes of an unconscious patient, the room still smelled of blood.

A blanket covered Shim Yeonwoo’s body, but beneath it, there were undoubtedly traces of the horrific wounds from earlier.

He wanted to help him change, but this wasn’t the time, so he held back.

“Wow….”

Approaching the bed, Haeyoung let out a gasp the moment he saw Shim Yeonwoo’s face.

Earlier, he had been so frantic with the thought of saving him that he hadn’t been able to see him clearly.

This was practically the first time he was seeing the man’s face properly.

His eyes were closed, so Haeyoung couldn’t see his pupils, but even in sleep, his handsome features were radiant.

Despite the healing, he had lost a lot of blood, so it seemed they had given him a transfusion.

His complexion looked much better than before.

From the long, straight eyelashes to the high bridge of his nose and the perfectly shaped red lips… everything about him was beautiful.

‘No wonder those psychos in Field Team 1 are so obsessed with him,’ he thought.

‘If they’re going to be that obsessed, they should at least treat him well. Why do they put him through so much?’

Even without them, the life of Shim Yeonwoo, who had just turned twenty, was difficult enough.

Haeyoung reached out his hand unconsciously.

He knew touching a sleeping stranger was creepy and could be considered harassment, but his hand wouldn’t obey his brain’s command.

Just as he was about to poke the pale cheek, the still eyelashes fluttered.

Haeyoung froze at the sudden movement.

He should have pulled his hand back, but again, his hand refused to move. He felt like an idiot.

“…Ah.”

While he stared stupidly at the trembling lashes, the eyelids slowly lifted.

Dark eyes, reminiscent of pitch-black darkness, appeared.

Those eyes seemed to be analyzing something—likely trying to figure out where he was and what had happened.

The pupils rolled around before landing on Haeyoung’s outstretched finger.

Haeyoung thought he should make an excuse, but he felt like he had swallowed a mute button.

He should have at least pulled his hand away, but like a fool, he did nothing and simply stared into those dark eyes.

“Who are you?”

“AH!”

Haeyoung let out a small shriek.

That was because Shim Yeonwoo had suddenly reached out, grabbed Haeyoung’s hand, and pulled him toward him.

It was a movement unlike that of a patient, as if he didn’t remember being brought in with severe injuries. It didn’t hurt, but the shock made him scream.

But that wasn’t the real problem.

The moment they made contact, Haeyoung’s wavelength began to vibrate.

It wasn’t physically vibrating, but that was how it felt.

Haeyoung’s wavelength couldn’t keep its composure against the sudden, invasive guiding energy.

“Haa… Ngh…!”

A strange sound escaped through his teeth.

He couldn’t stop it.

Haeyoung collapsed on the spot, his body trembling violently.

Shim Yeonwoo, not yet realizing he was a guide, was pouring guiding energy through the contact.

Haeyoung had received radiation guiding before, but this was his first time experiencing contact guiding.

To make matters worse, he had used a significant amount of energy on Shim Yeonwoo and had cut his machine-guiding session short, so his internal balance was already wildly unstable.

“…What’s wrong? Are you hurt somewhere?”

Startled by Haeyoung’s sudden collapse, Shim Yeonwoo sat up abruptly. In the midst of this, Haeyoung worried that he would be dizzy getting up like that.

But he couldn’t voice the thought.

If he opened his mouth, he felt like a strange moan would escape. He had to pull his hand away, but he couldn’t do it himself.

It would have been great if Shim Yeonwoo let go, but instead of releasing him, he grabbed Haeyoung’s shoulder with his other hand to try and help him up.

Because of that, the guiding became even more intense, and Haeyoung had to grit his teeth.

It felt like his teeth might shatter, but that wasn’t the priority.

‘I-I think I’m going to get an erection…!’

the problem was below his waist.

Haeyoung’s body, which had no immunity to contact guiding, was beginning to react because Shim Yeonwoo was cramming guiding energy into him through the points of contact, seemingly unaware of his own status as a guide.

He knew that intense guiding could cause such a reaction, but he had never experienced it himself, and they were only holding hands.

This reaction left him in a state of total confusion.

Above all, if that happened now, he would surely be labeled a pervert.

He had so much to do to help Shim Yeonwoo, and being branded a pervert would be a disaster.

“H-Hand… please…!”

“What? Speak clearly.”

Haeyoung managed to open his mouth and pleaded.

However, because of the moans he was trying to suppress, even saying those few words was a struggle.

To make things worse, Shim Yeonwoo leaned his upper body forward to hear Haeyoung’s mumbling, bringing his face incredibly close.

Haeyoung had no immunity to a face like this. He was already losing it, and now that face…!

“Please let go of my hand…!”

Unable to bear it any longer, Haeyoung finally shouted.

Attacked by the sudden noise, Shim Yeonwoo furrowed his brows and let go, looking completely bewildered.

He clearly hadn’t done anything wrong, yet it felt as if he had done something terrible to this person.

“Haa… this is crazy. Seriously….”

As soon as the contact was broken, Haeyoung almost reached out to grab Shim Yeonwoo again.

Fortunately, he managed to catch his own hand with the last shred of his sanity.

If he had received guiding for just a moment longer, his Esper instincts would have overridden his reason and he would have been groping for more contact.

Shim Yeonwoo’s frown deepened as he watched Haeyoung slumped on the floor, gasping for breath.

“Excuse me.”

“Ah! I’m sorry…. It’s my first time with contact guiding… I didn’t know it was like this…. Haa!”

Spouting excuses incoherently, Haeyoung lifted his head, only to flinch again the moment his eyes met Shim Yeonwoo’s.

He was pretty with his eyes closed, but with them open, he was several times more beautiful.

‘So this is the level of beauty required to be a novel’s protagonist—someone loved by psychos even if they don’t want to be,’ Haeyoung thought.

“What is it?”

Shim Yeonwoo’s face was a problem, but there was a much bigger issue at hand.

As Haeyoung forced strength into his trembling legs to back away, Shim Yeonwoo spoke in a voice laced with irritation.

His first impression was surely ruined, but if he stayed in this room any longer, he was going to turn into an ultimate pervert.

Tightening the front of his gown, he continued his retreat.

“No, it’s just… right now, guiding energy is constantly leaking out of you. You’re doing radiation guiding. Since I’m currently in need of guiding, my body is absorbing your energy. Guiding consumes a lot of physical strength, and… you’re a patient right now.”

While his own body was a mess, he couldn’t help but worry about the other man.

Guiding was essentially consuming the energy built up inside the body; it was only natural for it to drain one’s vitality.

Any other time it wouldn’t matter, but Shim Yeonwoo was a patient.
