I Became the Main Top in a Reverse Harem Novel chapter 14

“…Is it?”
“Yeah. I think it’s gotten even better lately. Is it because you’re still growing? It’s really incredible.”

Jingi moved the hand he was about to take away and began kneading and patting Go Yeol’s arm. When he asked with his eyes if it was okay to touch, the other boy gave a silent nod. Jingi became even more proactive in feeling Go Yeol’s physique.

His waist was beyond firm; it was packed with hard muscle. Everything from the traps connecting his shoulders and back to his neck was perfectly defined.

Generally, the bodies of people who exercise look like they’re just full of muscle, but the feeling actually differs depending on the body fat percentage. Especially in the chest area, muscles with a higher fat ratio feel both firm and soft.

As for Yeol, his body looked as if everything except the purely necessary fat had been converted into muscle. His chest likely had very little fat, making it look wide and flatly defined.

“Wow, I knew you worked out hard, but this is really good. You do all sorts of sports, right? You go to the gym too? You must have trained at a really high intensity.”
“…Yeah.”

Come to think of it, Go Yeol was a promising player on the basketball team. The coach had high expectations for him, and he had a high chance of going pro. Although the author had given him those settings, Go Yeol had worked hard within this novel.

Even if this was a novel, things wouldn’t just appear out of nowhere. If every novel had a world like this, the characters living in it would have done their part and run toward the goals set for them.

Jingi continued to marvel as he touched his forearms, stomach, and waist. He didn’t dare touch his chest out of embarrassment.

‘How long would it take for me to build a body like this?’ The body he saw when he washed was already on the better side. He had a naturally large frame, so even a little muscle would make a noticeable difference.

‘Should I work out?’ He was deep in thought while preoccupied with Go Yeol’s body when someone suddenly wrapped their arms around his waist from behind.

“Jaehui?”
“No, it’s me.”
“Oh, Unyoung.”

Was he worried because he fainted earlier? Jingi was about to ask if he was okay when he felt a chill run down his spine. The grip around his waist was tighter than expected, and his chin rested heavily on his shoulder.

He could feel a low vibration from the chest pressed against his back.

“Jingi, you’re having way too much fun.”

Is something wrong with him? Jingi was about to turn his head when Unyoung’s cold fingers brushed against the back of his neck.

“If you’re done playing with Yeol, shall we go to the self-study room?”

What’s with this atmosphere? Jingi broke out in a cold sweat.

Jingi naturally assumed it was Baek Jaehui. He was a bit puzzled by Joo Unyoung’s behavior, so he spun around and gently unwound the arms from his waist.

“Why?”

But the realization hit him almost instantly. He had temporarily forgotten: he was currently the Cupid of love. And Go Yeol was Sub-Male Lead 1, while Joo Unyoung was the protagonist—the ”Shou”—of this novel. If that was the case, it made perfect sense that Unyoung would want to touch Go Yeol’s body too!

Guys were like that. They admired and envied men with good physiques. For someone like Joo Unyoung, who liked handsome men, it would be even more so. Jingi lamented his own lack of tact. ‘Cupid license revoked.’

Jingi quickly grabbed Unyoung’s hand.

“Yeol, hurry up and flex your arm more.”

Confusion flickered in Go Yeol’s eyes. Before he could even respond, Jingi pressed Unyoung’s hand onto Go Yeol’s forearm. Startled, Go Yeol tensed his arm even harder than before. Jingi wiped the bottom of his nose and twitched the corners of his mouth.

‘Look at this guy… he doesn’t know what to do with himself because he’s touching the one he likes.’ It seemed even that turtle-like guy had feelings.

“Amazing, right? Doesn’t Yeol have a killer body?”
“…Huh? Oh, yeah. It’s good.”
“Hold on a sec.”

Jingi sang out the words as he slipped out from between them. The two boys remained frozen in the pose Jingi had set. Go Yeol stared at the pale hand on his arm as if he couldn’t believe it, while Joo Unyoung looked at Jingi with a slight furrow in his brow.

‘Unyoung, this guy likes you.’

Go Yeol’s feelings were supposed to catch fire during the school trip, but he’d likely been bothered by him even before then. It didn’t change much if things moved a little faster.

“It’s even better like this.”

Jingi grabbed both of Joo Unyoung’s arms from behind and helped him wrap them tightly around Go Yeol’s waist. In that moment, Jingi noticed the tips of Unyoung’s ears turning bright red. Seeing the two of them stiffen up and act shy was so cute and lovely!

Still holding Unyoung from behind, Jingi rested his chin on his shoulder. He spoke with a silly grin.

“How is it? Good, right?”
“….”
“….”

His heart felt ticklish. A perfectly timed breeze blew through the curtains, enveloping the two of them. Like a scene from a romance movie, the beautiful Joo Unyoung and the handsome Go Yeol were a perfect match, from their height difference to their facial chemistry.

“I’m gonna go grab dinner with Jaehui! You two stay like that for a bit longer before you come out!”
“More? …Why?”

He thought seeing two big guys stuck together might feel off-putting, but it wasn’t at all. It was probably because the height difference made it work. Joo Unyoung was as beautiful as an angel, and Go Yeol was as cool as a knight protecting that angel.

Jingi burst out of the classroom and fired off a text to Baek Jaehui.

[Dinner? Go]

The reply was instant.

[Baek Jaehui: Lol why do self-study?]
[Baek Jaehui: This ‘Hyeong-nim’ is going to the PC bang. Cya]

‘Ah, fuck.’

Jingi cursed under his breath.

In the end, he went up to the cafeteria and ate dinner alone. A few kids greeted him, but he only remembered that they were once in the same class and nothing more. Jingi nodded silently like the original Choi Jingi and returned the greetings.

After eating his fill until he felt bloated, he returned to the classroom to find Joo Unyoung and Go Yeol sitting far apart. Well, their seats were still separated by Jingi’s chair as usual, but they had pushed their chairs as far away as possible, creating a sense of distance.

It seemed they were conscious of each other after the skinship. Jingi sensed that his skinship tactic had worked. ‘As expected, the heart follows the body.’ To shift Joo Unyoung’s feelings elsewhere, he needed these slightly forced situations.

Peeking at them through the small window in the back door, Jingi giggled before fixing his expression and swinging the door open.

But then, Joo Unyoung’s head snapped around. His upper body was still facing forward, but his neck turned so sharply it looked like it might break. Startled, Jingi let out an “Oh” and pulled back the foot he had just stepped into the room with.

He didn’t realize it, but were they having a conversation like that? Sitting apart because they were too embarrassed to face each other…

However, the moment Unyoung spotted Jingi, he smiled brightly. The expression from a moment ago vanished like a dream. Jingi stepped back into the room hesitantly, wondering if he had seen things wrong.

“Jingi, where have you been? I was bored.”

He definitely had the face of a demon just now… but he became an angel in an instant. ‘Did I misread it?’
