Lucas opened his closed eyes once Hyacinth’s breathing turned regular.
Turning his head slightly to confirm he was asleep, he slowly climbed down from the bed.
The muscles he had trained through years of swordsmanship faithfully aided him in moving without a sound.
‘I need to find out how he knows about me.’
Lucas moved quietly and began searching the desk.
He didn’t look anything like the man who had been smiling wickedly and trying to seduce Hyacinth just moments ago.
The face prepared for any outcome belonged to a knight.
Lucas couldn’t comprehend what had occurred today.
Today was his first time coming here.
This place was a secluded corner even within the southern part of the Empire, and the Kingdom of Fortia wasn’t a country large enough for a southern imperial noble to know well.
It would be one thing if he were a northern noble or a capital noble whose territories bordered the Kingdom of Fortia, but for a rural noble like this to know was strange no matter how he looked at it.
Yet Hyacinth already knew he was a knight, and furthermore, he feared him while trying to accommodate his convenience as much as possible.
Why would he do that for someone who was a mere slave?
‘I must find out what his objective is.’
He needed to know why Hyacinth knew, and what he intended to do.
Although he searched through everything, there was nothing important.
Perhaps this place was used exclusively as a bedroom, because there were no documents, let alone a pen.
‘Should I go to the office?’
However, the door outside was guarded by a knight.
Because Hyacinth had been excessively on guard, Lucas had provoked him to see if he knew something.
Because of that, the sharp eyes of the Knights Commander, who hadn’t been wary of him at all, had turned fierce, and the knights also squared their shoulders whenever they passed him.
In comparison, what Lucas had discovered was terribly scarce. Hyacinth definitely knew something.
But that was all. Hyacinth merely deflected the subject and refused to speak to the very end.
‘He isn’t stupid.’
But he wasn’t thorough either. If he had been Hyacinth, he would have flogged the slave for acting arrogantly, ensuring he would never behave that way again.
Whether it was due to a weak heart, Hyacinth behaved softly.
Rather, that was preferable. Because he didn’t want to use physical force either.
Hyacinth had to stay alive and become his puppet doll. In order for him to clear his name and be reinstated as a duke.
Lucas had originally intended to use physical force to escape.
The reason he suddenly changed his mind to seduction was because Hyacinth had demanded night duties from him.
While unable to take his eyes off him, Hyacinth had casually told him to tend to his night duties.
He had even behaved endlessly soft, saying he wouldn’t force him.
Even when he acted arrogantly—acts that Lucas would have flogged someone for multiple times—Hyacinth forgave him multiple times.
This was an opportunity.
Hyacinth was behaving weakly and softly because he was infatuated with him. Lucas concluded as much.
If he seduced him and used everything Hyacinth possessed as resources to clear his own name, he would be able to be reinstated easily.
He would build his foundation here, clear his name, and then return to his homeland.
What happened to Hyacinth in that process was none of Lucas’s concern.
Lucas searched the room once more, but there were no results.
In the end, he cautiously climbed back onto the bed and lay down.
‘I’ll have to cajole the brat.’
Lucas fell asleep thinking about enticing the Young Master he was supposed to meet tomorrow.
He would have been able to do so, if Hyacinth hadn’t suddenly pulled him into an embrace.
‘Did I get caught?’
He carefully checked his complexion, but it was peaceful. His breathing was unchanged as well.
It seemed to be just a sleeping habit.
His hair, black as the night, was disheveled, and his sleep-addled state looked cute.
Despite having guarded against him with a chilly face during the day.
Lucas adjusted Hyacinth comfortably in his arms and went to sleep.
If he had resolved to seduce him, he shouldn’t pick and choose the timing.
Lucas’s eyes gleamed coldly.
When I opened my eyes, I was neatly cradled in Lucas’s solid embrace.
“Uwaah!”
Startled, I pushed him away with both hands with all my might, but he didn’t budge.
When I looked at his face to get angry, Lucas was sleeping soundly.
All my strength drained away.
It wasn’t that Lucas was behaving arrogantly, but that I was so weak I couldn’t even push away a sleeping person.
When I grabbed his shoulders and shook him, Lucas slowly opened his eyes.
He frowned, as if he couldn’t comprehend this situation.
“Ah.”
He quickly realized the situation, but instead of letting me go, he held me tighter and placed a kiss on my forehead. “Good morning.”
“No, that isn’t what I meant!”
“Ah.”
He seemed to realize something else, and this time, without letting me go, he lowered his head and placed a kiss on my lips.
Parting my closed lips proficiently, his tongue swept through my teeth before pulling away.
To finish it off, he placed a light kiss that made a distinct smacking sound.
“Good morning, Master.”
“What I meant… was for you to let go……”
I hadn’t meant for him to wake up and greet me.
The deep kissing right from the morning was so sweet it felt like it would drive me crazy.
Lucas stared at me as I groaned, looking like he couldn’t understand.
“Is my kissing not to your liking? You didn’t say a word when I sucked your penis, Master, yet you only scold me when I kiss you.”
What on earth is he saying? I was horrified by his wild words.
Despite having been a noble and a knight until recently, there was nothing he wouldn’t say.
Even after seeing my reaction, he only laughed as if he found it amusing. In the end, I used harsh words.
“Stop talking nonsense and let go.”
“Yes.”
He immediately loosened the arms holding me.
Because of a slave who only listened well when I spoke aggressively, I ended up using harsh language right from the morning.
“Lucas, you don’t listen when spoken to nicely.”
“Slaves are all like that.”
The slave in question spoke up, feigning ignorance.
Just as I was about to give him a piece of my mind, a servant spoke from outside the door.
“Have you awakened?”
“Yeah. Come in.”
Lucas bowed his head in greeting and left the room.
Watching his back as he walked out confidently with a shameless face, only a sigh escaped me.
It’s not like I can actually flog him.
I absolutely loathe pain, after all.
