And I understand that the reason monsters exist in this world is BECAUSE of the rifts… but I feel like the world could have naturally had monsters already existing in that world like humans do, and that wouldn’t have affected the story at all. In fact, you could have had the rift scenes play out in the same world and the story would still be the same. Honestly, I’m not even mad at the existence of the rifts. I’m mad at how the author just kinda randomly was like “oh yeah,,, i wanted to put rifts into this story… guess i’ll just randomly add it in this chapter so that the mc and ml can have their moment” maaan. besides that, the story overall is a straight up 10/10. I love almost everything about it
