The next day.

As soon as Fang Shucheng walked into the classroom, Wei Jie approached him.

Fang Shucheng immediately covered his backpack and warily asked, “What do you want?”

Wei Jie put his arm around Fang Shucheng ‘s neck, “Let me see your homework.”

Fang Shucheng sneered, “Weren’t you the one who swore you’d do it yourself yesterday?”

Wei Jie replied with a straight face, “I just want to take a look.”

Fang Shucheng stood firm, “I said no, and I mean it. Not even a glance.”

Wei Jie stared at him, “Really?”

Fang Shucheng firmly said, “No.”

Wei Jie leaned in and whispered with a mischievous smile, “If you don’t give it to me, I’ll kiss your cheek like I did in the dessert shop yesterday.”

Fang Shucheng’s hair stood on end, “You wouldn’t dare!”

Wei Jie looked around, shook his head childishly, and wiggled his body with a particularly cheeky expression, “Do you think I would?”

Fang Shucheng threatened, “There are so many people watching.”

Wei Jie shrugged, “I’m not afraid of being seen. Are you?”

Fang Shucheng, his face flushed with anger, reluctantly handed over his homework and warned, “Just look at it. No copying.”

Wei Jie agreed, “Okay,” took Fang Shucheng ‘s homework, pulled out his own, and started copying furiously.

Fang Shucheng quickly tried to grab his homework back, but Wei Jie, writing with one hand, used the other to pull Fang Shucheng into an embrace, trapping him.

Zhuang Yi walked by, whistling and nudging the people around him, making “wow” sounds with his mouth.

Teacher Qin, the head teacher, came to the classroom, knocked on the blackboard with a stern face, and said with a dark face: “You are the noisiest in the whole building! Go out and listen, all the classes are in the morning reading!”

Zhuang Yi hurriedly slipped back to his seat, shrinking his head to reduce his presence.

Teacher Qin probably thought Fang Shucheng was implicated by the other two, so he didn’t address him first. Instead, he asked Wei Jie, “What were you doing last night that you didn’t do your homework?”

Wei Jie immediately replied, “I was playing basketball with Zhuang Yi.”

Zhuang Yi was speechless, “…”

Teacher Qin said, “Then how did Zhuang Yi manage to finish his? It’s not that I forbid you from playing basketball. If you can play and still complete your homework like Zhuang Yi, I wouldn’t mind. Zhuang Yi, what are you smirking at? I’m warning you, this isn’t praise! Look at how much you slipped in this month’s test!”

Wei Jie and Zhuang Yi leaned over to look at the Excel sheet on Teacher Qin’s computer. Zhuang Yi found his score and grinned, “This is higher than I estimated!”

Teacher Qin gave him a flick on the head, “Look at others’ scores. The test was easy, not that you scored high.”

Wei Jie didn’t bother checking his own score. Instead, he looked for Fang Shucheng ’s name. As soon as he found it, he tugged on Fang Shucheng excitedly, “Xiao Cheng, look, you’re first again.”

Teacher Qin glared, “Stop pestering Fang Shucheng . He doesn’t like it. Why can’t you learn from him instead of just playing with him? Fang Shucheng, I have a task for you. Since you’re close with Wei Jie, help him not just in life but also in his studies, so you both can improve!”

Wei Jie replied, “Teacher, I’m willing to help Fang Shucheng in life, as long as he helps me in my studies.”

Teacher Qin scolded him, “How can someone as careless as him help others?”

Wei Jie earnestly said, “Of course, I can wash Fang Shucheng ’s underwear…”

Fang Shucheng kicked Wei Jie.
