Don’t you think we are going too fast? chapter 1- Prologue

“Pregnant, I’m pregnant!! How many times do I have to say it!”

I yelled as my eyes turned red, then collapsed onto the table, bursting into tears.

“I’m doomed! If my mom finds out, she’ll beat me to a pulp! I warned you to be careful, but look at this!”

As I cried with my head down on the table, my second brother’s voice rang in my ears, scratching at my insides.

He had always warned me to be careful around Alpha males because they’re like beasts.

It wasn’t enough that I got pregnant, but the fact that he was right about it made me even more furious.

“…Pregnant?”

“Yes, pregnant!”

“…Pregnant?”

I lifted my head from the table and shouted at Lee Taeshin, who kept mumbling as if he couldn’t believe it.

“Yes, you lost control and did it that day! I told you not to, that it scared me! I was in pain because of it, but you didn’t even remember! My brothers said they’d kill me and the baby’s father if I came home pregnant, so what am I supposed to do now? I’m dead! My brothers will kill me, and my mom will too!”

“Really… no, Sunwoo. Calm down, Sunwoo.”

Taeshin put his hand lightly on my head as I cried on the table. Feeling his unsure and careful touch made me cry even more and worry even more.

Two kids sitting next to me hit my chair and ran off yelling. Their parents didn’t even stop them.

If our child turns out like those kids with no manners and clueless parents, what will I do?

Taeshin is so gentle that he’ll spoil our child, and if he becomes a parent like that, I’ll lose my mind!

The thought of my child growing up like that was horrifying. Seeing so many irresponsible parents these days made it feel all too real.

As I lamented and cried, feeling like the only sad person in the world, laughter broke out around me.

“How can I calm down? I’m pregnant! What are we going to do? Take responsibility!”

I snapped my head up at Taeshin’s attempt to soothe me, getting angry at his words. This was our problem, not something to be calm about!

I slapped his hand away, and as I huffed and puffed in agitation, Taeshin covered his mouth, trying to suppress a smile.

“I’m ruined…!”

If I could go back two months, I’d do anything. Taeshin, who had been watching me cry, slowly opened his mouth.
