Omega of the Duke Brothers chapter 96- END

* * *

Bellick went straight to his father.

He claimed Chester had heard it from his older brother, and spun the tale so it sounded like Chester had been furious.

He acted as though he knew nothing, subtly angling for praise.

Naturally, Gordon was livid.

A scheme he had meant to carry out quietly had been exposed—by no one else but his own eldest son.

The shame burned his face hot.

Gordon took up a riding crop and went to his eldest.

Without explanation, he began to lash him.

“Aaagh! Aaagh! Father! Please—please, spare me!”

“How dare you—you—how dare you!”

Blood seeped from Gordon’s palm where he gripped the crop so tightly the skin split.

But his injury was nothing compared to Jacob’s.

His clothes were in tatters, his body streaming dark red blood, turning him into a hunk of raw meat in moments.

The servants watching had to fight the urge to retch.

“You dare betray me?” Gordon panted heavily.

“Why? Why would you? To leak information to the enemy—did I raise you for this?”

Jacob, curled up, barely lifted his head.

Even through the pain, he saw his younger brother—arms crossed, smirking openly.

‘That bastard!’

He was the one.

The one who told Father I’d spoken to the Carlisles. Hatred boiled over.

“And you call yourself the heir of this house? How can I entrust the family to you?”

“Cough… cough… Ha… ha…”

“…You’re laughing?”

“Father.”

Jacob wheezed between coughs, but a smile tugged at his ruined face.

“How can you entrust me with the family? What, have you ever trusted me?”

“What?”

“You never did. You’ve always weighed me and Bellick against each other. I tried—God knows I tried—to win your favor. But it was useless. You only ever gave me that cold gaze.”

Jacob’s fists trembled.

“I wanted to do well. I did try. I worked so hard—so damn hard.”

“You pathetic fool! You call this ‘trying’? Look what you’ve done. The Carlisle family knows, and soon they’ll be pointing their blades at us.”

“Let them. I’m done.”

“And you say that like you’re proud of it?!”

Bellick caught their father as he nearly collapsed in rage.

“Calm yourself, Father. You’ll make yourself ill. Please, go rest.”

Bellick shot his brother a mocking look.

“You’ll realize soon enough, brother—just what you’ve done.”

“It was you.”

Jacob staggered to his feet.

“That’s right. It was you. You told him everything. You probably made it sound wonderful. All you ever wanted was to ruin my life.”

“Tsk tsk, pathetic.”

Gordon clicked his tongue and walked out without looking back, radiating coldness.

The moment he was gone, Bellick sneered.

“And you’re any better? All you ever want is to wreck my life.”

“Ha!”

Jacob stepped forward, fumbling inside his coat.

He looked unsteady enough to fall over, but Bellick didn’t even tense—confident, as if daring him to speak.

“You brought this on yourself. Why’d you do it? Don’t tell me you blurted it out in a fit of temper?”

“Shut up.”

“From that reaction, I guess you did. What made you snap? Because I looked so much better than you? Were you that jealous?”

Bellick mocked him.

“That’s your problem, brother. Too busy envying others to see your own stupidity. Never realizing it leads only to your ruin.”

“You bastard. All you ever do is look down on people.”

The moment he stepped close, Jacob pulled something from his coat.

Seeing what it was made Bellick’s pupils tremble.

“Let’s see if you can still act superior after this.”

It was a dagger, gleaming with a sharp light.

Bellick’s face hardened—he had never expected his brother to actually draw a blade.

“What the hell are you—”

Jacob’s arm slashed through the air.

The room rang with horrified screams.

“Kyaaaaaah!”

The cries spilled into the corridor outside.

Gordon, walking there, flinched.

He turned back immediately, his face paling.

A chill of dread crept up his spine.

“What’s that sound?!”

He yanked the door open.

And then—he was struck dumb by the carnage inside.

What lay before him was…

“It was the second son who had a dagger stuck in his body. Thankfully, it wasn’t life-threatening… but they say his arm is now useless. The rumor is spreading like wildfire.”

“And His Majesty?”

“He didn’t say much. Only that he would not be raising the land tax. But they say he added something rather meaningful: ‘If a man can’t take care of his own family, how could he possibly take care of the country? Since it was someone like that making the proposal, I can’t trust him anymore.’”

“I see.”

Chester clicked his tongue as if in sympathy.

He looked as though he pitied the man, but his violet eyes were utterly devoid of emotion.

He sat down and rested his chin on his hand.

“David, family is such an interesting thing. Sometimes, they’re the strongest allies you could ask for. And other times, the most ruthless enemies.”

Chester’s voice softened.

“Those two brothers will only grow more hostile now. I told His Majesty to have the school investigated. Velick will suspect it was his older brother who said it, not us. And Jacob will hate his younger brother even more, thinking he’s trying to frame him.”

“You think the Duke of Fetchwig will stay quiet?”

“What can he do now? Try to reconcile them? That would be difficult. It’ll only make their hatred toward their father grow.”

Leaning back into his chair, Chester let the cool breeze from the window wash over him.

He watched the curtain sway gracefully before speaking again.

“Gordon tried to steal another man’s family. This is the price he pays—losing his own. Let’s see how he enjoys experiencing the same thing.”

“When you say family… you mean Lord Adam?”

Just the mention of the name Adam made Chester’s expression soften.

He smiled faintly and nodded. David asked cautiously,

“Do you mean to marry him?”

“If Adam will allow it.”

David was stunned.

His master had always been a carefree libertine—one who enjoyed his pleasures but hated the idea of being tied to a single person.

Yet here he was, talking about marriage, even considering the other person’s feelings.

‘I wonder if Lord Isaac feels the same.’

That Isaac was in the kitchen at the moment.

The villa’s kitchen now had a newly hired cook—an elderly man who used to run a small eatery in the square.

Adam, while out on a stroll, had happened to taste the old man’s food and devoured it so eagerly that the onlookers were shocked.

Upon hearing the story, Isaac had immediately brought the old man to the villa.

Right now, Isaac was probably watching the old man bake pies.

Though Isaac had never shown interest in cooking before, he had lately begun personally observing the process.

He claimed he simply couldn’t understand why Adam liked this particular food so much.

‘At this rate, he might start cooking himself. Lord Isaac, in the kitchen—now that would be a sight.’

Footsteps came from the stairs.

Chester immediately rose to his feet.

“Why are you coming down alone? What if you fall?”

“I told you, I wanted to come down by myself.”

It was Adam who descended the stairs.

Chester stepped forward and wrapped him in his arms, feeling the warmth seep into him.

“Haa…”

Adam’s breath was languid, heavy with drowsiness.

He looked every bit like someone who had just woken from a nap.

“Still sleepy? Want to rest more?”

“No, I’m fine. I’d rather be with you.”

Chester laughed at the unreserved affection.

Adam was guileless—crystal-clear and transparent from the moment they’d met until now.

Chester couldn’t help but be drawn to that quality so unlike himself.

“Let’s sit over there.”

Chester guided Adam to the sofa.

Once they sank into the cushions, Adam tilted his head slightly.

“What about Lord Isaac?”

“Why? One of me isn’t enough?” Chester teased.

“Greedy.”

“Ah—no, that’s not what I…” Adam faltered but didn’t deny the label.

He fidgeted with his fingers before mumbling,

“I just like it better when all three of us are together.”

“Mm. And that’s why you’re greedy.”

“…”

“When you’re alone with my brother, do you say things like this? Asking where I am?”

“Of course.” Adam nodded.

“If even one of you is missing, I start to worry. I know you’d both be fine on your own, but still…”

“What nonsense. How could I possibly be fine if you weren’t here?”

“You tease too much.”

Chester smiled gently.

‘You think I’m joking, Adam, but I’m not. When I heard you’d gone missing… when I heard you were in danger… I thought my heart would burst. That’s when I realized—I can’t imagine a life without you.’

‘I’m glad I didn’t lose you.’

Silently, Chester took Adam’s hand in his own.

His mind flashed back to the moment he had found him—following the cries echoing through the air, crashing through the undergrowth until he reached the cliff’s edge.

Adam had been standing there, teetering dangerously close to the drop.

The memory alone made Chester’s vision swim.

Adam later admitted he’d been planning to jump.

The thought of losing him forever was unbearable.

“Adam.”

Chester’s voice was quiet.

“Don’t you ever think about dying again. Do you understand?”

Adam blinked slowly.

Chester tightened his grip.

“Don’t do it—for my sake. And don’t sacrifice yourself for my brother’s sake either.”

“…”

“Be happy. That’s all I want.”

The breeze rustled the branches outside, leaves brushing together in a soft whisper.

Adam gazed at Chester for a moment, then smiled faintly.

He traced his free hand along Chester’s wrist.

“You’re wearing the bracelet.”

It was a gift from Adam—a humble piece compared to Chester’s usual jewelry.

“Lord Isaac’s wearing his too. I like to think you both did it for me.”

“That’s right. For you.”

“That makes me happy. Truly happy.”

“…”

“Yes, I’m happy. Very much so.”

“…”

“Because I fell in love with you—both of you.”

The word happy sent ripples through Chester’s heart.

He gazed at Adam for a long moment before leaning in and kissing him.

It was short but sweet.

Adam pulled back first, breaking into laughter.

“Ahaha.”

“Once more.”

“No.”

The answer didn’t come from Adam.

Hearing the voice behind him, Chester sighed.

“When did you get here, brother?”

“Just now.”

Isaac approached the table in front of the sofa.

The sweet aroma made Adam lean forward.

A golden apple pie and a silver goblet of freshly pressed apple juice sat before them.

The moment Adam smelled it, his face lit up.

“It smells wonderful.”

Isaac picked up the goblet and offered it to Adam.

Adam insisted Isaac drink first, but he refused.

After a few rounds of polite back-and-forth, Adam finally drank the juice in one go.

The fresh sweetness brought a rosy flush to his cheeks.

“You eat anything that cook makes. I tried to see if there was some secret to it, but I couldn’t figure it out.”

“You watched him cook?”

“I was curious.”

“Hmm… maybe it’s just his touch. He’s been cooking for so many years—there’s a skill there no one else can imitate.”

“In that case, I’ll never match him. I’ll just have to pay him well.”

“You’re not thinking of cooking yourself, are yo—mmp.”

Isaac shoved a bite of pie into Adam’s mouth before he could speak.

The sweet, apple-filled pie tasted wonderful.

Adam, cheeks puffed full, ate without a second thought.

Seeing that, Isaac and Chester’s faces relaxed with relief.

Adam had once struggled badly with morning sickness, and they’d worried he might keep having trouble.

But now, seeing him eat so heartily, their worries eased.

“What should we do today?”

Isaac spoke, feeling a quiet happiness rippling through him.

He sat down beside Adam, who was still eating pie.

The scent of sweet apples mingled with Adam’s omega scent, filling his nose.

“Tell me what you want to do. I’ll make it happen—anything.”

As he spoke, Isaac drifted into thought.

He remembered the Myers book Adam had once asked for.

Since he’d already bought it, they could read it together.

Or he could have Chester play the piano for them. Or maybe…

“I do have something I want to do,” Adam murmured.

Isaac looked at him, asking silently what it was.

“You two should eat this pie with me.”

Adam picked up two forks, his lips curling into a small smile as if to ask, “How about it?”

Isaac gave a quiet chuckle and accepted the fork.

“Of course I can do that.”

Chester, who’d been watching, took the other fork.

Soon, the three of them were sharing the pie together.

The breeze drifting in through the open window was cool, and the carpet warmed by sunlight felt soft underfoot.

And the taste of the pie spreading in their mouths was exquisite—fragrant and sweet, just like the love they shared.

This is a truly wonderful story. The translation was great and I enjoyed it so much. I hope we get extra chapters at some point .

  2. CloudNine16 says:

That was an abrupt ending. Because he was pregnant, it should’ve concluded with him delivering the baby. Not include it in the extras

      Nonetheless I enjoyed the smut.
