[Hurrying and desperate]
That’s what he should be acting in his line.
Kim Jong-ho smiled at the appearance of the serious Seojun. He actually didn’t want to give advice to other actors, but he wanted to see this little child learning.
The other actors wondered if they could receive some advice from actor Kim Jong-ho like Seojun, so they acted with their best of abilities in order to get his attention.
Kim Jong-ho voice was different and softer from usual, it almost gave Lee Ji-seok goosebumps and stuttered on his lines.
As conversation between the actors started here and there, the public relations manager smiled and eagerly filmed.
“Great job!”
The script reading for the first episode was now over.
When Seojun closed the script’s folder, everyone did the same with disappointed faces.
An Daho, who was standing behind Seojun, began to pack his actor’s things like the other managers did.
Kim Jong-ho was very excited. He really liked acting and after a long time in the industry he became a very good actor.
He wanted to talk longer with Seojun.
“Seojun. I really like your acting. I even voted for you for the film festival. I can’t have you call me older brother, and I can’t have you call me Mr. It is like you are putting a distance between us, so call me uncle.”
“Uh… Can I call you Uncle Jong-Ho?””
“Of course! As much as you want!”
“Hehehe.”
There was one courageous person to intervene at the friendly conversation of the two actors.
Queen Wongyeong, Lee Ji-hye.
“Seojun, can you give this auntie and autograph? This auntie’s name is Lee Ji-hye.”
“I know! I watched your! The one with Da-jin, right?”
Seojun signed the white paper given by Lee Ji-hye.
Lee Ji-hye laughed when she received the sign.
“Da-jin said you were really good at acting.”
“Hehe.”
While Seojun was shyly smiling, people gathered around him one by one with paper on their hands.
Despite the An Daho’s dangerous glare at them, they quietly avoided the gaze and stood in a line in front of Seojun.
Kim Jong-ho did not want to get any attention, but he wanted to also have Seojun’s autograph.
Lee Ji-seok noticed his attitude and teased him before asking Seojun an autograph for the both of them.
A small signing event was now being held in the conference room.
It is difficult to do anything about it because there were many people, so the management decided that those who have a shoot with Seojun will receive it later.
Kim Jong-ho was among them. To relieve Kim Jong-ho’s disappointment, Seojun gave him his cell phone number.
KBC’s new drama, a script reading video of My Clinic, was posted on the Internet.
KBC uploaded the video by posting it as a documentary, there would be a solo video of Lee Seojun, same with the actors.
In particular, Lee Seojun’s video seemed to be edited like those entertainment show with yellow and cute subtitles with a very cute music.
-So cute!
– I am so jealous at Kim Jong-ho, he is talking to Seojun closely!
-Whenever Seojun is having some difficulties, Jong-ho gave him some advice.
Seojun didn’t know that he was being filmed, he was only focused at reading the script.
***
February was nearing to it’s end, and the weather was still winter.
Seojun visited the filming site at the suggestion of Lee Ji-seok. Today all the large scale scene would be filmed.
Since it was an outdoor shoot, he needed to warm himself with hot packs so he put them inside his thick jumper.
“What do you think? Isn’t it cool?”
“Yes!”
Seojun nodded at Lee Ji-seok’s words.
The palace was beautifully decorated with colorful clothes. Many people in the area were wearing hanbok with many layers inside. This was his first time to seeing so many people filming together.
Today was the day when King Sejong took the throne.
“It’s better to watch this in person than on TV. You could study it too.”
Lee Ji-seok said looking proud. Seojun and An Daho nodded at his words.
The actors with lines worked together under the direction of the assistant director, while the extras that would be on the background were being guided by the staff.
To be honest, Seojun was more interested toward the extras wearing the same clothes than the actors dressed up splendidly.
Some people were playing with their friends as if they were working part-time, and some looked at the actors with lines with dark expressions.
Seojun felt uneasy looking at their faces full of envy.
After some time, everyone was ready for the shoot.
As it was a large-scale filming, one person’s mistake could be a big deal, so everyone focused on making no mistakes.
Actors who had to move around while being followed by the camera thoroughly checked their movements. And all the staff running around them headed out of the set.
Seojun and Lee Ji-seok stood a little far away from the set and watched the shooting.
PD Choi Min-sung shouted loudly.
“Ready, action!”
The officials appeared one after another. Not only the minor roles with their official uniforms, but also people in various clothes found their place. Lee Ji-seok whispered to Seojun.
“Scholars, foreigners, the elderly, and monks are attending the coronation ceremony of King Sejong.”
“I see.”
There was music playing. There would be a recorded version to be put in this part on the post-production but producer Choi Min-sung really called in a Korean traditional music troupe to let vivid music to flow through the set.
Next to King Sejong there was a sedan chair (gama), he sat down and the ceremony began. A solemn atmosphere flowed through the whole set.
Fortunately, king Sejong’s coronation ceremony ended at once without NG. Everyone sighed with relief and put on their padded jackets back quickly.
The extras warmed themselves up while the staff were preparing for the close-up shot.
It was really great to see a lot of people moving in unison. It really felt like he fell into the Joseon Dynasty and watching King Sejong’s coronation.
Seojun asked Lee Ji-seok.
“Would there be another shoot like this?”
“Hmm. Let ask the producer, shall we?”
When asked by the two, producer Choi Min-sung scratched the back of his head and said.
“There is. On Prince Seongnyeong’s funeral, Queen Wongyeong’s funeral, and Taejong’s funeral.”
“All funerals?”
“This is a must, even if it will only appear on the television for a minute. If you’re curious, come and watch the others later. This may be a fiction-historical drama, but I did my best so that it will end the same as the historical records!”
The large-scale filming has continued. Seojun called a coffee truck when the shoot of Prince Seongnyeong’s funeral happened. Several food trucks were parked outside the filming site so that even the extras could drink comfortably.
The food truck had a banner saying, “Grand Prince Seongnyeong is shooting!”
Everyone joked around and drank the warm tea and coffee, saying, “The Grand Prince Seongnyeong is giving coffee during his funeral.”
The filming of the scene that requires a lot of people was over, and the filming for the first episode of the My Clinic began.
Episode 1, 2, 3. This are the episodes where Seojun would be appearing.
Seojun’s shooting day quickly approached.
“Today is a little colder than usual.”
An Daho put a padded jacket to Seojun.
It was a little funny to wear a padded jacket at the top of hanbok. The hot pack attached to his clothes were still warm.
Seojun’s first scene took place on the set. Although it was now the beginning of March, the set was still chilly.
In the meantime, the main character, Heo Yoo-sun, entered the internal clinic and became a disciple of Yang Hong-dal.
Today was the first time Heo Yoo-sun and Prince Seongnyeong met.
Lee Ji-seok, wearing an official’s uniform, smiled and approached Seojun.
“Oh, my. Prince! It’s been a while since I saw you!”
“Dr. Heo, long time no see!”
“Ah hahaha. Seojun you are actually pretty good at this too. Aren’t you cold?”
“It’s okay!”
When Lee Ji-seok took out a hot pack and showed it to him. Seojun casually pointed to the side of the chair.
Earlier everyone would asked him if he were cold and gave him hot pack. He has now collected a box of hot packs.
“You are so popular. You may not be able to use them all throughout this shoot.”
“Quite true.”
Still he collected them because they gave it to him, if others needed it he could give them away.
“Let’s start filming!”
Everyone went to their places at the voice of the assistant director. Seojun headed towards the filming site, while feeling his pounding heart.
Writer So Eun-Jin was waiting in front of the set and cheered for Seojun.
“Fighting!”
Seojun smiled back and waved.
Looking around, there were many people who came to watch Seojun’s filming.
Kim Jong-ho and Lee Ji-hye also waved at Seojun. There was also Park Do-hoon, King Sejong, the person he saw back when they filmed the large-scale scene.
Park Do-hoon made eye contact with Seojun and nodded slightly.
They may have exchanged greetings in many times, but they did not become as close as Uncle Jong-ho and Aunt Ji-hye.
“I have to get close to him today!”’
