I am not a Yandere chapter 129

* * *

The sudden impulse won over before he could even process any internal conflict.

Jihoon’s fingertips, trembling violently, brushed against Yeongdeok’s lips.

Despite knowing that all lips should feel about the same, somehow Yeongdeok’s felt softer, more yielding.

Jihoon wanted to kiss him but couldn’t follow through.

It just didn’t seem respectful to Yeongdeok.

“Good night, hyung.”

Jihoon closed the door, leaving with a bittersweet sense of longing.

Even with the distance he’d created, the affection he had kept buried surged uncontrollably.

His whole body shivered like the taut strings of a harp from overwhelming excitement.

Face burning red, Jihoon clasped his hands together and silently sang the national anthem in his head to calm down.

But even that didn’t stop the shaking.

In the end, Jihoon unfastened his pants and pulled down his underwear to relieve the strain from his bulging lower half.

His erect member sprang out, so stiff that veins were vividly visible.

Unable to restrain himself any longer, Jihoon grasped the tip and slowly stroked it.

“H-Hyung, hyung…”

His hand began to move faster as it traveled up and down.

He hadn’t been indulging in any particularly lewd thoughts about Yeongdeok—he’d merely recalled his face.

Yet the instant he imagined making eye contact with Yeongdeok in his mind, a thick, white liquid spurted from his urethra, messily coating his palm.

Panting in post-release euphoria, Jihoon felt a wave of shame wash over him.

He cleaned up as best as he could, resolving to take this secret to the grave.

Light spilled in through the window, glaringly bright.

Waking up after a deep sleep for the first time in a while, Yeongdeok blinked drowsily and was greeted by a refreshing morning.

Trying to remember how many days had passed since he’d last slept so well, he sat up and took in his unfamiliar surroundings.

…Where was he?

The sight of the unfamiliar furniture and decor was unsettling enough to make his hair stand on end, though he outwardly kept his cool and tried to recall the events before he fell asleep.

He’d gone to the amusement park with that punk Baek Seonwoo, then played games with Seo Jihoon, and then…

Nothing.

No memories beyond that.

As sleep-deprived as he’d been, he never imagined he’d fall asleep like he’d passed out while gaming at Seo Jihoon’s place.

Yeongdeok felt embarrassed but couldn’t shake off the strange comfort he’d felt.

He hadn’t slept well in days, yet somehow at Jihoon’s place, he’d managed to rest.

Was it the difference in the bed?

Yeongdeok remembered a certain mattress ad touting that beds are science.

Lost in thought, he wandered out of the room and spotted Jihoon at his laptop, dark circles sagging under his eyes.

He looked like someone who hadn’t slept a wink, which made Yeongdeok suspicious.

“Wait, you didn’t sleep at all?”

“You’re awake?”

“Answer my question.”

“I just pulled an all-nighter studying for exams. Don’t worry about it.”

Jihoon brushed off the concern with nonchalance, closing his laptop as he stood up.

“Want some water?”

“Yes, that would be nice.”

Yeongdeok sat at the dining table while Jihoon fetched barley tea from the fridge.

Soon, a cup was placed before him.

“Did you sleep well? You were so out of it that you didn’t even notice me moving you.”

“How rude. It’s impolite to touch someone while they’re sleeping.”

“Shouldn’t you be grateful I even carried you to the bedroom?”

Jihoon grumbled, but Yeongdeok didn’t give him the words he wanted to hear.

“I don’t recall asking you for such a favor.”

“Ugh, still as ungrateful as ever.”

Jihoon rubbed his forehead and shook his head.

As their bickering carried on, Yeongdeok drained the cup in one go.

“By the way, what’s the brand of the mattress you use?”

“And why do you need to know that?”

“I haven’t been able to sleep lately. But somehow, I slept well on yours.”

Jihoon figured Yeongdeok’s mattress had to be higher-end than his, but seeing him struggle with insomnia made him reconsider.

He checked his phone and dug up the old purchase records.

“I’ll send you the link on Kakaotalk.”

“Got it.”

When Yeongdeok got up, the scraping of his chair made Jihoon glance up from his phone.

“You heading out?”

“Yes.”

“When you get home, try to sleep some more, hyung.”

Yeongdeok tilted his head in acknowledgment before stepping out into the hallway.

Even though Jihoon lived next door, he saw him off as though he were a traveler embarking on a long journey.

As soon as he returned home, Yeongdeok walked straight to his desk and sat down.

Perhaps it was thanks to the good rest, but his mind felt sharper than ever.

His eyes sparkled, and he was full of energy.

Although it stung that he had to close his chicken shop because of PetitRolang, he felt it was no use dwelling on it.

Didn’t Seo Jihoon say that even if you lose this round, you can always win the next one?

Using all the information he had gathered, Yeongdeok began plotting his revenge against PetitRolang.

PetitRolang could control natural disasters and influence the perceptions of the characters, but he wasn’t omnipotent.

Yeongdeok suspected that the limit lay in the original novel’s settings. If the characters deviated enough from the original framework, maybe they could be beyond PetitRolang’s control.

After all, PetitRolang’s power came from being in a novel world, and that world was driven by the main characters.

If he could make the leads diverge from the plot entirely… perhaps he could render PetitRolang powerless.

And if he succeeded…

Yeongdeok wanted to reopen Yeongdeok Chicken.

With that in mind, he got to work, organizing the setting details of No to obsession that he knew.

Genre, plot, character profiles—he was getting somewhere when his phone buzzed.

[Seonwoo: Did you sleep well, Cha Yeongdeok?]

[Seonwoo: I only just woke up now ㅠ]

[Seonwoo: If you’re still feeling down, let me know.]

[Seonwoo: I’ll make some time to hang out, just for you.]

Since morning, Seonwoo had been bombarding him with messages.

[No, thanks to you, I feel better now.]

[Seonwoo: I’m glad to hear that.]

[Seonwoo: Also, what I was going to tell you yesterday…]

[Seonwoo: I’ll say it again once I’m ready, so]

[Seonwoo: please wait for me until then.]

What could be so important that he’d keep delaying it like this?

Yeongdeok figured it was probably nothing major and turned off his phone.

After going over the original story’s settings, Yeongdeok realized he didn’t know this novel as well as the main fan, PetitRolang, did.

If that was the case, the most efficient way to ruin the story would be to focus on key details—like changing the genre from romance between men or introducing new connections for the main characters instead of Eungyeol.

After thinking it over, Yeongdeok decided it was worth a shot.

More importantly, he didn’t have the luxury of time to think it through too deeply.

He never knew when that PetitRolang bastard would change his mind and try to kill him again.

Last night, after partying until dawn at a club, Roran had finally woken up around noon in a hotel nearby.

“Ahhh…”

Stretching as he yawned, he looked around and saw a spacious, clean hotel room, not his cramped, single-room apartment.

It felt like he was still dreaming.

After ordering room service and finishing his meal, Roran stepped out onto the terrace for some fresh air, gazing over the river below.

“Isn’t it unusual for a dream to feel this long and vivid?”

It felt like he’d been in this dream world for well over a month.

Everything—from the taste of the food to the pain when he pinched his cheeks, and even kissing that nameless girl at the club—felt so real.

Yet, every time Roran began to question this reality, a system message would appear, reminding him of the disconnect.

[System: Main characters have started diverging from the original storyline.]

[System: Warning -> Sync with the original is at 30%.]

In the real world, system messages wouldn’t just pop up out of nowhere.

If someone invented that kind of tech, they’d make a fortune.

Roran reassured himself this had to be a dream, comforting himself with the idea of staying in this paradise forever.

Returning to his bed, he opened No to obsession and started reading.

He was curious to see what Yeongdeok had been up to since sabotaging his shop.

“What a useless waste of time.”

He closed the system screen in disdain, but a faint sliver of doubt started to settle in his chest.

Just as he began feeling uneasy, his phone buzzed.

Bzzzz. Bzzzz.

[Seo Hyuna: Hey, Roran! It’s Hyunah, from the club last week.]

[Seo Hyuna: If you’re free today, want to meet up?]

Alright, no need to overthink it.

Let’s just enjoy the moment.

Isn’t everything he ever wanted right in front of him now?

[Why not?]

Roran tossed aside his hotel robe and began trying on various designer outfits as if he were playing a dressing game, scrutinizing each look.

This feels cheap.

And this one?

Ugh, too common.

After multiple fittings, he finally settled on an outfit that looked perfect.

Just as he was about to step out of the hotel room, he paused.

“Oh, right. Tip.”

With a flick of his hand, cash materialized on the table in a neat stack.

Leaving the room, Roran thought, ‘There’s no dream more perfect than this.’
